Welcome to Shaws Maple Syrup & Pancake House. 
 
Family owned and operated since 1904, our sugar bush has been producing 100% pure maple syrup for more than a century. Each spring, during maple season — mid-February through mid-April — our sugar shack and Pancake House are open daily so we can share this uniquely Canadian experience with our guests. 
 
Every year, we tap about 4,500 trees, and 30 kilometers of tubing collects approximately 180,000 litres of sap. We also keep several sap collection buckets hanging on trees near the sugar shack. 
 
Come see how maple syrup is made and learn how the process has changed over the past 100+ years. Explore the sugar bush along our marked walking trails or, on weekends and during March Break, experience how sap was collected 60+ years ago with a horse-drawn wagon ride. Then enjoy the delicious taste of maple at our Pancake House, which offers something for every appetite, including gluten-free and vegan options.

Join us for Maple Weekend
April 4 and 5 2026
We can’t wait to welcome you to Shaws Maple Syrup & Pancake House for Maple Weekend! 
 
Our Pancake House is open daily from 8 AM to 4 PM, serving a variety of ways to enjoy the delicious taste of maple, including gluten-free and vegan choices. 
 
The horses will be here Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 2 PM. Come experience how we collected sap over 60 years ago with a horse-drawn wagon ride through the bush. 
 
And of course, our sugar shack will be open — and if the conditions are just right, we hope to be boiling sap and filling the air with the sweet smell of maple.
