The Kemptville Campus operation now tends to 1162 taps over 18 acres of sugarbush. The operation began in 1971 as part of the Kemptville College of Agricultural Technology (est. 1917). The Peter Wensink Maple Forest and the Agroforestry Centre is not only an active sugarbush, but also part of the larger campus forest that is now a certified forest under the Forest Stewardship CouncilĀ® (FSCĀ®), a worldwide initiative for sustainable forest management.
Join us Saturday, April 1st and Sunday April 2nd from 10am to 4pm for guided tours of the operation and evaporator demonstration. Enjoy a pancake breakfast, maple taffy, maple cotton candy, outdoor activities and live music. Fresh maple products will be available for purchase.
Committed to the production of high quality maple products using the best management practices.
