These aren’t your regular nachos! The combination of maple, lime, and chicken flavours are the perfect addition to a cheesy and salty plate of nachos. This dish is perfect for game night, a last minute weekday meal, or a family meal everyone in the family will love. Prep the chicken ahead of time and you can have this on the table in less than 15 minutes!
Ingredients
Maple-lime Sour Cream
- 1 cup plain yoghurt
- 1 tbsp Sweet Ontario maple syrup
- 1/2 lime, zest and juice
Chicken
- 1.5 lbs chicken thighs, boneless, sliced into strips
- 1/3 cup Sweet Ontario maple syrup
- 1 lime
- salt and pepper
Fixings
- Corn tortilla chips (approximately one bag)
- Salsa
- Green or black olives, sliced
- Bell pepper, diced
- Green onions, sliced
- Pickled jalapenos
- Tomato, diced
- Cheddar cheese, grated
Directions
- Cut the chicken into strips, then toss with maple syrup and the zest and juice of one lime.
- Marinate for up to an hour in the fridge.
- Cook the chicken and its liquid over medium heat until the chicken is cooked and the juice is thickened enough to coat the chicken well.
- Toss with salt and pepper.
- Meanwhile, prepare the maple lime yoghurt by blending the yoghurt with the maple syrup and lime zest and juice. Set aside.
- Spread the tortilla chips on a baking sheet and cover with fixings.
- Distribute the chicken over the tortilla chips and cover with cheese.
- Broil in the oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve with maple-lime yoghurt.
