Summer Tour 2008
Visiting a sugar camp.

The Members of the Grey-Bruce Local hosted the 2008 Summer Tour in Owen Sound this past July. The Annual event attracted more than 200 OMSPA members and non-members, all of whom enjoyed workshops, seminars, demonstrations and site visits throughout the busy three days.

Tour participants enjoyed the 7 very different sugar camps as well as the excellent displays in the hotel and vendor tent. The various presentations by our guest speakers were also well received.

Although the weather looked ominous at times, we were able to escape the rain while touring during the afternoons. The air-conditioned buses provided relief from the hot and humid conditions. Everyone on the tour enjoyed the relaxing format of workshops and seminars in the morning with afternoon tours of local sugarbushes with lunch along the way.

We look forward to the 2009 Summer Tour in Perth, hosted by the Lanark & District Local.
